2004 was a complex vintage that yielded a classic wine that charms with its aromatic complexity, seductive freshness and tight and fine tannins.
An exceptional vintage. A wine of great aromatic complexity, concentration, smoothness and balance with a very promising future .
2006 is a vintage with round tannins. It seduces with a soft and rich texture on the palate, a beautiful balance that is fresh and flavorful, and a long complex bouquet. Good aging potential.
The 2007 vintage is a wine of pleasure, very open. Beautiful aromatic complexity, soft round tannins, bottled happiness. In full bloom, drink now or keep in good cellars.
2008 was a great success at Chateau Boutisse. Low natural yields, an exceptional balance between powerful aromas, freshness, structure and finesse. The acidity of this vintage gives it excellent aging potential.
Optimal conditions throughout the year yielded grapes of perfect ripeness. A deep and intense color, rich in tannins and a beautiful aromatic complexity. A wine with velvety tannins and an excellent guard.
The 2010 vintage was marked by a harvest under a splendid sun. The grapes were able to acquire a great maturity with a very dense color and material of great depth. Pleasure, charm, balance and fruit. Excellent guard
2011, an early and complex vintage. Marked by fruit and spices, the wine has excellent freshness and a nice roundness. Deep material, combined with well-integrated tannins, will allow it a medium to long guard in the cellar.
2012, a late vintage. Charming, gentle extraction from quality skins yielded silky tannins. Long finish marked by ripe fruit. Well-integrated oak, delicate notes of spice, mocha and roasted coffee. A pure pleasure.
2013 is a rare vintage due to a very little crop. Wines are fruity, good structure, light toast aromas to respect the fruit. This is an accessible vintage, drink before 2020.
2014 , a traditional vintage in Bordeaux. The wine has a very good tannin structure, deep and excellent length, especially for Château Boutisse lovers. Drink from 2017-18.
2015 , a fantastic vintage in Bordeaux. Grapes got the optimum maturity thanks to an exceptional weather in summer and a sunny September during harvest. Deep structure, full bodied, long palate. Red fruits, mocha, silkiness...The ageing potential is really excellent. Drink from 2019-20.
2016 , has an excellent ageing potential. Wines need acidity to get a long and qualitative ageing. In 2016, weather conditions were gathered to obtain volume, elegance, crispy fruit, and acidity ! 2016 is equivalent to 2015, with higher ageing potential.
2017 vintage was affected by the strongest spring frost of the last 20 years. Only the parcels on the top of the hills were safe, they are also the qualitative ones. Château Boutisse 2017 has a soft and silky structure with a good freshnes. Drink in the next 10-15 ans.
2018 has been an enjoyment after 2017. The vines were generous, and maturity was perfect. The climate was adapted for the elaboration of great wines for ageing, at the level of 2016. This is one of the greatest vintage of the last decade.
Cadenced by spring frost risks and heat peaks in July, the begining of 2019 vintage has been difficult. Hopefully we got a great weather in August and September and sunny harvest. 2019 is an excellent vintage for ageing. Dynamic on the attack, the palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, gourmandize, a fine acidulous frame, a fine concentration as well as a good freshness.
Marked by spicy notes and a lovely fruit, this wine is also characterized by many red fruit notes. Respecting its style, the 2009 Baron Boutisse will seduce amateurs and novices alike.

True to style, the 2011 vintage also won a gold medal in Paris. A wine with warm and explosive aromatic notes. Its structure has a nice texture and brings good length.

Baron Boutisse 2012 offers a full and well-balanced structure. Aged in vats and barrels, this blend has a wonderful fruitiness, and nicely rounded. It charms by its accessibility, and its immediate pleasure. Ready to enjoy as of 2015.

On 2017, the frost has considerably affected the Baron de Boutisse, no production this year.
2018 offered great maturity conditions. The vines have produced quantity and quality. Wines are powerful, long and complex, a great vintage.

Baron 2019 is elegant and well balanced, with a lot of classicism. There is a good freshness, and the volume is typical of the great Saint Emilion vintages. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, and juicy blackberry. Freshness on the finish.
